Arriving in Budapest midday, you’ll transfer to your hotel and acclimate. Indulge in your Welcome-to-Hungary dinner, and afterward visit an intimate rooftop bar with a 360-degree view for a nightcap.
Your first full day in Budapest, get acquainted with this mysterious city as you make new friends with your personal guide showing you the city from a Trabant, then taking you for a home-cooked meal. Afterward, you will discover some of Budapest’s hidden gems walking around the city. You’ll return to your hotel and enjoy a dinner of your choosing before resting your head.
Today begins with a leisurely breakfast. Afterward, you’ll explore the Buda castle area more thoroughly with a local historian. After a lunch of your choosing, immerse yourself in the thermal waters at one of Budapest’s foremost baths. Tonight, you’ll sample some of the ruin bars, from the famous to the hidden.
Start planning your tripAfter an early and hearty breakfast, you’ll be picked up to enjoy a full day discovering the wonders of Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Europe, sometimes called the Hungarian Sea. Late afternoon, indulge in a local wine-tasting on the way back to Budapest.
You’ll start early today, again, venturing to the Great Plain (Nagy Alföld) of Hungary. Experience a Csikó horsemanship show at a Hungarian horse ranch, tour Kecskemét, the capital of Puszta, and enjoy an authentic Hungarian 3-course lunch. You’ll return to Budapest by dinner time, which you can enjoy on your own.
Today begins leisurely. After breakfast, Budapest is your oyster, to enjoy however you like – stroll down Andrassy ut (Avenue), the Champs-Élysée of Budapest, tour another of the museums near Heroes Square, or visit the second largest Jewish synagogue in Europe.
Start planning your tripAfter a relaxing breakfast, head to Budapest’s Szechenyi Baths for a last relaxing soak in the therapeutic waters (optional additional 45 minute beer spa soak – extra fee applies), explore the Vajdahunyadvár castle and museum, and relish your final afternoon in Budapest. Tonight, enjoy the brilliantly illuminated iconic buildings and sites of Budapest on your candle-lit dinner cruise.
After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport, bidding your new Hungarian friends “viszontlátásra”, or “so long!”, and take your memories of this epic adventure with you!!
